He Ain’t Heavy

March 13, 2017 by wtfadmin

This is another great opportunity for me to be a performer. This show is about Grania and her brother Sean, who has severe learning disabilities and autism. Together on stage, Grania and I explore their relationship through storytelling, aerial, Postman Pat and a blend of aikido and control and restraint movements.

I’m very excited to be a part of this with Grania and the rest of the amazing team. It is still in its R&D stage with plans to premier in the autumn of 2017 and tour in 2018. Its going to be a very beautiful, funny and poignant show… watch this space

Festival Whispers

March 12, 2017 by wtfadmin

This was an idea that came from the origins of myths. Where they have come from, how do they start, and what do they teach us. With Charlotte Mooney we created Festival Whispers, a guided tour of Glastonbury Festival.

The festival site is so vast and has so much history and mythology that envelopes it. I like to think of it as a city. What better way to find your way around, than with a tour guide. I gathered stories, myths and legends from friends, colleagues, books and the internet and blended them together to make a comical tour of this incredible festival.

The show premiered in June 2016 and is now a regular feature at the festival. I hope that one day the Eavis’ will come and enjoy a tour round their own festival!

Snow White

March 11, 2017 by wtfadmin

I jumped back in at the deep end after not performing for a few years into a show that was an all singing, all dancing and playing live music Christmas bonanza. The classic story of Snow White given a new slant featuring real moments from British mining history. We were miners but we were also crocodiles!

The show drew on rusty skills and built new ones like drumming! It was so much fun and I’m so pleased to have had the opportunity to play this not just once but twice over two consecutive years – brilliant!
I’m was in a band! I had a tail!

No Woman Is An Island

March 6, 2016 by wtfadmin

Lazing on the golden sands, a little lady leans against a palm, playing ukulele and singing sweet melodies to the fish and any sailor who may float by. This is a solo musical walkabout act. I designed and made this costume: an island hung from my waist, with diminutive legs creating the illusion of being sat upon it, a palm tree protruding upwards and a small built in sound system to amplify the uke. Festival and venue highlights include; Glastonbury, Henley, Cabaret Boom Boom, Grassington, Bradford Pride, Lakes Alive.

The Trolleyed Dollies

March 6, 2016 by wtfadmin

A ridiculous and satirical look at air hostesses from the imagined air line Sleazy Jet. Has been played as a roving act, as through-line characters in a cabaret, and as comperes. Always comes with a duty free bar.
Highlights of festivals and venues performed at include; Glastonbury, Shambala, Sunrise, Brighton Fringe, Carnyville.
